WHY WAS THIS NEVER ACTUALLY A THING?
This looks awesome and is presumably a Silverado SS under the skin.
Which means 6.0L V8 with AWD.
AKA an Escalade...

GM really loves teasing us with these awesome concepts.
I need the Code 130R to happen.

This would be a killer track-car hauler...guess I'll keep on the lookout for a 3/4 ton 'Burb when I get to the states.

With the Camaro starting at $23k and it being lighter in its next gen you can pretty much guarantee there will be no 130R.

Then I at least hope it gets some 130R styling cues.
And a turbo 4 option.

ehh, no, mainly because I have a love/hate thing with the silverado SS. Great idea for a truck but why was it never offered in a std cab short box? That's the only way I own pickups. That's what made the 90-93 454 SS pickups so awesome. That's why I got super excited at the Cheyenne concept they showed this year as well. I just want a performace Chevy pickup that's not required to be an extended cab.

I think short cab, short bed trucks look weird, so the Silverado SS was perfect for me.
My dad had a 454 SS, it got stolen though. And was replaced with a '99 Tahoe.

I'm more picky on the cab than if its a long or short box. I also hated when Chevy redesigned the trucks in 99 they dropped 5 lug hubs from the 1500 line and made every truck 6 lugs.

There was Joe Gibbs for the single/short.

I've seem a few on eBay before but they were mainly decal packages with a little work done on the 5.3. Even the Intimidator SS Silverados were ext. cab.
Regency was like a Roush for Chevy/GMC pickups as well that had std/swb

A lot of Joe Gibbs trucks were supercharged.
